MandARRT! (aka The Third Photon Cover)

This third piece of Neal McPheeters Photon cover art surfaced recently and features my favorite bad guy. I think David Stay would have been pleased that I ended up with the only cover artwork that included his image. I’m pretty sure he would have called it MandARRT! (Terrible pun, absolutely intended!)

This is the original acrylic artwork, which became the cover of Photon adventure novel number three, “In Search of Mom”. It unexpectedly arrived with a couple of flat, unfolded/unbound book cover samples, with some notable differences when compared side by side with the produced book.

I find things like that almost as interesting as the art itself!
