Live Blogging from Tag 4 A Cause

You’ll have to read this post starting from the end because I live blogged updates (so It reads with the most recent events first) all the way through the first ever Tiviachick’s Tag 4 A Cause Laser Tag 5K Challenge! In my next post I’ll write about everything a little more thoroughly, but I wanted to share this event with you as it was happening. This was a great opportunity to raise awareness about November being Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month.

Big thanks to the entire staff of Apex Entertainment in Albany for hosting this event! Special thanks to Gregg and Anne Marie who were so instrumental in the planning process and to all the staff who were there and so helpful throughout the entire day!

Kept right on laser tagging until the end of the night and pushed it all the way to 7K along with the guys from the Straight Edge Punks Network who signed up, donated and completed their 5K challenge right along with me! TJH even won a gift card courtesy of Apex Entertainment!

I just completed my Tag 4 A Cause Laser Tag 5K Challenge. The medal is earned, but the real victory is in supporting pancreatic cancer research.

Raising awareness about Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month and wearing a purple ribbon on my pack as I make it to the 4K mark, heading towards (and maybe beyond) laser tagging 5K today.

I’m laser tagging 5K today in memory of my big brother, Guy, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. I’ve already reached the 3K mark! If you’d like to be part of the challenge, pledge to laser tag to 5K anytime during the month of November.
